Police in Sunyani in the Bono Region have arrested a 20-year-old lady who dumped her twin baby boys in a well.
According to a police situational report sighted by MyNewsGh.com, Ellian Zumesh dropped the twins in a well in the house of Cecilia Adokopoka and left them to die.
Sensing the danger posed by the action, Cecilia Adokooka who lodged an official complaint with assistance from Constable Richard and Constable Samuel Dwomoh of the Ghana Police Service arrested Ellian Zumesh and sent her to the Police station.
The Police in turn moved to the scene and rescued the children who were not hurt but found out that there was a whitish substance coming out of their noses.
The Police rushed the children to the Sunyani Regional Hospital but the children were pronounced dead on arrival.
Their bodies have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue whiles Ellian Zumesh has been arrested and is assisting the police with its investigation.
