The first of a double header against Sudan was played out at the Accra Sports Stadium and the Black Stars missed several chances to score and get its first win three games into the qualifiers.
Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo and Mohammed Kudus were guilty of missing guilt edged chances to put Ghana on the scoresheet.
Speaking in the post game presser, a visibly disappointed Otto Addo stated that his team deserved to win the game.
“The chances were there. A lot of chances but this is football. Sometimes it’s very very hard, very difficult so now it pains even more the Niger game (where we drew), it pains even more and also the last minute goal against Angola it pains even more because again, today we played really well. Not much that I can say.”
“We deserved to win and we will stay positive and we will beat them away. With the same performance, the same passion, the same creativity up front, we will beat them away.”
