Central East Regional Police Command has arrested four Suspected Land Guards for allegedly brutalizing construction workers and also destroying fence walls at Senya Bereku in the Central Region.
Macho Men numbering about 50 with weapons attacked construction workers at Senya Bereku while Over 200 bags of Cement and 30,000 blocks were destroyed.
According to Police , the workers were constructing fence wall on 1,000 acres of Land which is meant for the construction of Winners University.
Police says, Nananom of Senya Bereku have given 1,000 of Land to Winners chapel to be used to Construct Modern University in the Senya Bereku Township to create jobs and to reduce unemployment rate.
In an interview with Obaatanpa news Mireku Nyampong, some of the workers who escaped death revealed that, it was an eye saw after those Macho Men numbering about 50 attacked them, destroyed all the fence walls and also set 50 bags of cement ablaze.
The workers said their Temporal wooding structure were also destroyed hence they escaped to hide in the bush.
Meanwhile Chief of Senya Bereku Royal Anona Family Nenyi Akono Kwao Nkwantan condemned the attitude up by those people who demolished the walls and therefore called on Central Regional Police Command to arrest all the perpetrators and prosecute them to serve as deterant to others.
