88% of Ghanaian youth want me to be President – Kennedy Agyapong

Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the NPP’s presidential nomination and the incumbent MP for the Assin Central Constituency, has asked the party’s delegates to put the future of Ghana’s young ahead of their own interests.

He believes that the young of the nation are the key to the NPP’s success in the 2024 elections, and as such, the majority of the population is supporting his candidacy.

In an interview with MAK TV in Kumasi, the outspoken MP and businessman asked party delegates to consider him as the best ahead of the 2024 elections in order to assist the NPP break the 8 in the face of the present economic woes.

“If NPP wants to win in 2024, then the delegates must think about the youth because a survey conducted suggests that about 88 per cent of the youth want me to be President, so that should be a message to the polling station executives and all the delegates.” He said.

Kennedy Agyapong’s popularity has been on the rise recently, but some worry that John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten or Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia might derail his rise to power.

Yet in the interview, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong was certain that he would be the NPP’s nominee for the 2024 elections.
