Nine passengers are seriously injured after four cars involved in a serious accident at Gomoa Okyereko Junction on the Kasoa Cape Coast Highway in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region.
The vehicle involves are, Honda civic salon car GX- 4649-22, Kia Cargo truck ,GR-8709-18, Toyota 4 Runner, GE- 5801-12 and Ovan GG-2102-23.
In an interview with Mireku nyampong, Public relations officer of the Ghana National Fire Service Winneba , Assistant Divisional Officer Grade 1 (ADO1) Ebenezer Fiifi Dadzie revealed that, the Honda civic salon car made a wrongful overtaken lost control hit back of the Cargo car veered off his lane and collided with the Toyota Ovan heading towards Accra direction leading to the accident.
ADO1 Ebenezer Fiifi Dadzie indicates that, all the victims have been rushed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
He however advised drivers plying Winneba Highway to desist from doing wrongful overtaken to avoid such happenings
