Internet content subscription service OnlyFans has been trending lately on Twitter as South Africans took their time to slam and bash local content creators on the site.
OnlyFans is technically open to anyone – from personal trainers to artists and cooks – but it’s best known for one thing: nudes. Creators charge subscription fees for exclusive content, put up pay-per-view posts, and generate income from tips and livestreams. The service became popular in 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic struck and people were forced into lockdowns.
The Frisky reports that OnlyFans has become globally popular primarily because of pornography. South Africans, mostly women, have decided to tap into this service to get income by just selling nude and sexual content.
South Africans on Twitter have weighed in and initiated a discussion on Twitter, saying people on the service are just the same as prostitutes. Check out what tweeps think about OnlyFans.
Onlyfans is prostitution…. Those people do not only take videos and pictures, they sleep around for money.

Imagine saying that from all the ills of prostitution the absolute worst of it is that women are making money from it and that Onlyfans(as disgusting as it is)is for this reason worse than street prostitution that is based on trafficking and exploitation. Reactionary right.

If Onlyfans/prostitution/sex work has a million haters I’m one of them. If it has ten haters, I’m one of them. If it has one hater, I am that hater. If it has no haters, I have left this earth. If the world isn’t against it, I’m against the world.

Wild to me that SA men of all people come on here and judge onlyfans calling it prostitution and what not. The same men who think buying you a drink at the club gives them a right to your body? Those ones? So it’s okay to buy sex with alcohol at the club? That’s not prostitution?
