For those who do not eat Fufu, rice balls (Omo Tuo) are commonly used as a replacement. Omo tuo is one of my favorite dishes, especially when paired with hot groundnut soup and chicken.
It is not unique to any single group, but is enjoyed throughout Ghana. It is commonly served with thick groundnut soup, chicken or palmnut soup, and rice. Omo tuo can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Rice balls go well with palm nut soup with snail meat in my opinion.
