Former President John Dramani Mahama has blamed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the country’s plight.
He called Obama a “promise and fail” leader.
Mr Mahama said the President had pledged to improve the nation in 18 months but had instead subjected Ghanaians to agonizing difficulties.
Despite the challenges, the administration has failed to take responsibility for economic mismanagement.
Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP promised to change Ghana in 18 months, expand our economy by double digits, cut borrowing, maintain fiscal discipline and safeguard the public purse.
“They pledged to free Ghana from taxes. In reality, none have been realized. As a consequence of a government’s mishandling of the economy, Ghanaians have suffered terrible sufferings and deprivation, said John Dramani Mahama, addressing the topic ‘Ghana at a Crossroads’.
Instead, they continuously try to push their interpretation of economic reality on us, denying that food costs have risen and saying that the business environment is highly favourable.
John Dramani Mahama claimed the Akufo-Addo administration has driven Ghana to the brink of bankruptcy and impending default on debt obligations.
His painful epiphany is that Ghanaians’ frustrations are at an all-time high.
