The National Organizer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Yaw Asani Tanoh has stated categorically that Nana Akufo Addo only has two years to live on earth.
He emitted this fiery statement to remind him that it will be in his best interest to do the right thing before his demise, as regards the controversial Achimota forest saga.
As quoted by Ghanafeed, Yaw Asani Tanoh says Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has two (2) years left to live which is it’s more prudent for him to be virtuous instead of all the negativities and despondency shrouding his government.
Meanwhile, the Western Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Charles Bissue, has urged his party to increase efforts in sensitizing the public on policies and decisions of the government in order to deal with the propaganda that the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will come up with.
In his view, there was too much propaganda surrounding the Achimota Forest issue mainly carried out by the main opposition party.
This, in his view, resulted in confusion in the minds of the general public regarding the government’s plan for the forest reserve.
Speaking on the New Day show with Berla Mundi on TV3 Friday May 20, he said “Anything that comes from the presidency is poopoo by the opposition. As I keep saying, in the second term of the two term, we have trained the psychology of the Ghanaian that every 8 years we change government. So anything that comes out the opposition will poopoo. So I am actually advocating that, most of these things we should do more sensitization, like the e-levy where it dragged for three months.”
It is recalled that the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor had to dismiss reports on social media that the Achimota Forest reserve in Accra had been sold when news about President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo granting an Executive Approval for the Forest Reserve land, classified as a protected National Forest Reserve since 1930 to be redeveloped and sold for other purposes, broke.
