Abraham Mensah has guaranteed himself and Ghana at least a bronze medal following his 3-1 victory over Rukmal Prasanna of Sri Lanka in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
The victory means Abraham has qualified to the semifinals of the Bantamweight Division and well into the medal zone.
He has become Ghana’s third Black Bomber after Joseph Commey (featherweight) and Omar Wahid (Lightweight) to be assured of at least a bronze medal.
The 18-year-old has promised to win a Gold medal after reaching the semifinals.
