Asante Kotoko, a powerhouse in Ghana’s Premier League, dropped their second exhibition match in Sudan.
In preparation for the 2022–23 football season, the team landed in Sudan over the weekend to begin the second round of preseason training.
Asante Kotoko’s journey began on Tuesday with the first of four exhibition matches. The Porcupine Warriors were defeated by the Al Hilal of Sudan, 2-0, after a full game.
To get even with their rival, Asante Kotoko played them again today.
The outcome has worsened since they started playing full-time. After a superb performance, Al Hilal defeated the reigning Ghana Premier League champions 5-0.
The Asante Kotoko schedule includes two more exhibition games after today’s contest before the team heads back to Ghana.
On Sunday, they’ll play a game against the Tanzanian club Simba SC
