The efforts that President Akufo-Addo is making to encourage the expansion of local enterprises have been reaffirmed.
He said that his administration is prepared to help and cooperate with any serious-minded company or entrepreneur who is seeking assistance.
The President of Ghana indicated in a tweet that the move would assist to enhance the economy of the nation and bring about progress. The post was published today, Friday, August 26, and was observed by Modernghana News.
“Any serious businessman or businesswoman that has a programme for development in his or her sector, and is seeking the partnership and assistance of govt, this Govt, NAkufoAddo’s Govt, will give him or her that support and partnership for us to develop the country together,” the president’s tweet reads.
This arises as a result of the fact that companies have been having a hard time surviving in the wake of the devaluation of the Cedi, which is now being listed as the second worst currency in the world, behind only the Sri Lankan Rupee.
Prices of products and services have skyrocketed as a result of the current inflation rate, which stands at a historically high 31.7 percent, making it difficult for Ghanaians to make ends meet.
