Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suffered a broken jaw during a violent robbery on his home in Castelldefels in the early hours of Monday morning.
Four men climed into his garden and threatened Aubameyang and his wife Alysha with firearms and iron bars.
The thieves reportedly handcuffed and tied up the couple with Auba smashed on the chin with a bar and his wife hit over the head while their children watched on terrifyingly.
The couple has since reported the raid in the Castelldefels region of Catalonia, and police are investigating the case.
Chelsea are in talks with Barcelona over signing the 33-year-old before Thursday’s deadline but the jaw injury could complicate things as the former Arsenal man is expected to be out for a number of weeks.
The former Arsenal captain joined Barcelona in 2022 after his contract with the Gunners was cancelled by mutual consent.
