Berekum Chelsea host King Faisal FC at Dormaa in the last but one fixture of the first round of matches in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The Bibires finished 8th in the last campaign but had the opportunity to feature in the G6 competition due to Kotoko’s withdrawal and seventh-placed AshantiGold SC’s demotion into the third tier.
They were really impressive in the preseason six-team tourney, having reached the semi final and subsequently finished as the second runners up.
Also, the ‘Insha Allah’ outfit once again had to rely on a final day sensation to survive after finishing 14th on the league log last season with 42 points.
The team have been in an intensive preseason training tour and spent three weeks in Mankesim and were in super form, having engaged in high profile friendlies against Dreams FC, Elmina Sharks, Bibiani Goldstars and the Black Galaxies.

Berekum Chelsea have extended the contract of their head coach Christopher Ennin and will continue to lead them in the new campaign.
However, Stephen Anokye Badu, Jackson Owusu, Kofi Owusu have all but the introduction of new youngsters most especially Ouattarra Kalou will be really malleable to the Blues in the league.
With King Faisal, the core of their team last season comprising of skipper Richard Akrofi, Pius Baffour, Wadud Yakubu, goalkeeper Frank Boateng, Mawuli Wayo and Enoch Morrison have all left after the end of last season.
However, Perry Addison, John Otu, ex- Black Satellites and Helsinki defender Benjamin Aloma, stalwart forward Abednego Tetteh have also joined to strengthen coach Branko Brozovic’s team for the new season.
