James Rodriguez Joins Greek Giants Olympiacos On A Season Long Loan

Former Real Madrid star James Rodriguez has returned to European football after joining Olympiacos on a season long loan. He will wear the No.10 shirt for the Red-Whites.

He joins the Greek giants from Al Rayyan of Qatar with whom he had five goals and seven assists in 15 games. He has since reunited with fellow Los Blancos legend Marcelo.

The 31-year-old Colombian midfielder had a stint with some of Europe’s football powerhouses including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Porto and Everton where he made only 26 appearances scoring six goals and providing nine assists.

The attacking midfielder played in the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups, and became a household name after winning the Golden Boot with six goals for Columbia in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

He also represented his nation at the 2015 Copa América, the Copa América Centenario in 2016, and the 2019 Copa América, winning a third-place medal in 2016.
