Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, has jumped to the defense of his misfiring attackers after yesterday’s narrow 1-0 victory over Nicaragua.
Ghana should have won the game by a large margin, but their wastefulness led to a 1-0 victory in Lorca, Spain.
The former Borussia Dortmund player made several changes to the team that suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brazil.
Inaki Williams, Osman Bukari, and Fatawu Issahaku all started up front but it was the former Steadfast FC who broke the deadlock for Ghana on the 35th minute.
In the second half, Ghana dominated possession and created numerous chances, but they were all wasted.
Inaki Williams, Mohammed Kudus, and Osman Bukari all blew great opportunities.
Commenting on his strikers, coach Otto Addo said;
“I think Iñaki had one very big chance so he was well located and he had very good runs which created space for others. So therefore Kudus had good chances, and Osman Bukari also.
“We just have to keep it to cool and exercise a little patience the boys played very well in the game and only lacked the final killer instinct” He concluded.
Black Stars will face friendly Switzerland in another friendly on 17th November, 2022 before beginning their World Cup campaign on November 24 against Portugal.
