Former Ghana League Clubs Association chairman, Alhaji Raji, has told Asamoah Gyan point blank to stop dreaming about the Black Stars again.
The Ghana all-time top scorer told the BBC weeks ago he’s still eyeing a last dance with the Black Stars at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
His comment has drawn mixed reactions from many Ghanaians as to how he can be relevant to the team as a player when he’s not fit.
Raji is the latest to join the bandwagon: “Asamoah Gyan should forget about the Black Stars. He must not even dream of returning to the team,” he told Graphic Sports.
“If he wants to serve in any technical capacity or play a role as an advisor to the striking department, then that is fine.
“But as a player, he should forget it.”
Ghana has made a return to the World Cup after missing out on the last edition. The Black Stars are in Group H alongside Uruguay, South Korea, and Portugal.
