Liverpool have had their worst season in over a decade following a series of disappointing results in the Premier League.
The Reds’ start to the 2022/23 season is nothing short of a roller coaster of disappointing results leaving them in 10th place and 14 points off the top spot after winning just two of their opening eight Premier League matches.
Meanwhile there is further injury blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side following the injuries of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and center-back Joel Matip.
The two defenders came off during Liverpool’s defeat to Arsenal on Sunday and are expected to be missing for up to three weeks with ankle and calf injuries respectively.
In the same game winger Luis Diaz also picked up a knee injury and has been ruled out until December.
Midfielders Arthur Melo, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita have all been sidelined due to thigh injuries.
The only respite for the Anfield side is the return of left-back Andy Robertson and midfielder Curtis Jones. They have both joined the team in full training and could feature against Rangers in the Champions League on Wednesday.
