Barcelona have announced they will wear the logo of artist’s DRAKE on their kit for the first El Clasico of the season this weekend.
As part of their alliance with Spotify — the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service, the LaLiga giants will replace the logo of ‘Spotify’ with that of Drake’s in their clash against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The alliance between the football club and the music streaming service is to ‘bring football and music together in order to connect with new audiences around the world’.
For the first time, Barcelona will enter the pitch wearing a jersey featuring the logo of the internationally acclaimed rapper and singer Drake, winner of 4 Grammy awards and the first to surpass 50 billion streams on Spotify – rather than their main partner’s logo.
The logo of the Canadian superstar features the silhouette of an owl which will be embossed in front of the Barça Jersey.
Drake has published a post featuring the jersey on his Instagram account to his over 120 million followers ahead of the crucial clash on Sunday.
