EPL: Everton End Arsenal 13 Premier League Unbeaten Run After 1-0 Victory

Sean Dyche era is off to a winning start after Everton edged leaders Arsenal 1-0 at the Goodison Park to move out of the relegation zone.

Arsenal’s 13 Premier League unbeaten run came to an end and their lead will be reduced to only two points if Man City wins on Sunday.

James Tarkowski’s second half header proved to be the winner for the Merseyside  club as they make the most of their new manager bounce.

Dyche recalled out of favour midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and trusted him with his first start since August due to his row with manager, Frank Lampard.

Vitali Mykolenko and Dominic Calvert-Lewin set the tone for Everton’s workrate in the early stages and the crowd responded accordingly.

Arsenal controlled and dominated possession in most parts of the game but Everton carried more thread anytime they have the ball.

The breakthrough came just when Arteta decided to introduce January signings Trossard and Jorginho. Before they could settle Everton scored.

Tarkowski headed in a corner from Dwight McNeil after an hour to register his first Everton goal and lift the roof off Goodison Park.
