As we gear towards the 2024 General Elections, the Assembly Member for Opeikuma-Krispocity Electoral Area, Hon. Habibulah Adams has called on the Youth of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of the Central Region to embrace peace to help redeem image of Kasoa.
Speaking to the media on the sideline of Post Eid-ul-Adha Get-to-gether with Kasoa Assembly Members, Hon. Adams bemoaned the bad image associated with Kasoa as he believes maintaining peace before, during and after the General elections will help redeem the bad name tagged to Kasoa.
He advised the youth not to allow themselves be influenced by the politicians to achieve their political gains.
“If any politician approach you with money for you to accept so as to cause commotion or Electoral violence, tell them to take it to their sons”, he said.
He added that “if you allow yourselves to be used as Electoral violence tool, you are the only one to rot in jail so becareful“.
On his part, the Presiding Member of the Awutu Senya East Municipality who doubles as the Assembly Member for Otamens Electoral Area, Hon. Jones Darko Kwarteng noted that Kasoa is peaceful but the media often associate any bad deeds that happen on its boundaries leading to the bad name tag.
He called on the media to be circumspect in their reportage to help redeem Kasoa’s good name.
Lastly some NPP party folks who were present at the occasion made passionate appeal to Ghanaians and the Good people of Kasoa to Elect Dr. Bawumia as President and Hon. Hawa Koomson as Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East coming 2024 December 7 General Elections.
