Election 2024

The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference has called on all eligible voters to exercise their democratic rights with wisdom, responsibility, and a deep sense of national duty.

The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, known for its moral leadership and consistent advocacy for peace and development urged Ghanaians to take the time to fully understand the policies and platforms being presented by the various political parties before making their decisions at the ballot box.

The Catholic Bishops’ appeal was made as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure that the elections contribute positively to Ghana’s progress and the welfare of its citizens.

Addressing the nation on behalf of the Conference, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, the national president of the Bishops’ Conference, emphasised the importance of informed voting.

Most Rev. Gyamfi urged Ghanaians to educate themselves thoroughly on the policies of each political party, paying special attention to the promises and initiatives being proposed for national development.

The Bishops stressed that the future of the country lies in the hands of its citizens, and their votes will determine the direction Ghana takes in the coming years.

“To the entire electorate, we urge you to exercise your right to vote wisely and responsibly. Educate yourselves about the candidates and their platforms, and vote for those who align with your vision for a better Ghana.

“Your vote is a powerful tool for shaping the future of our nation, and it is crucial that it is cast with careful consideration and respect for the democratic process.”
