A 50-year-old Pastor on Saturday September 28, 2024 allegedly beheaded his 46-year-old wife in a cassava farm at Trabuom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region
The suspect, Victor Appiah, founder of End Time Rapture Family Church, reported took his own life by drinking poison after killing the wife, Akua Emelia, mother of eight children.
The sad incident occurred on Saturday September 28, 2024.
According to Residents and family members, the couple had a history of domestic disputes, leading Akua to temporarily leave the marriage.
However, Victor convinced her to return only to severe her head with a machete .
Brother to the woman, Kofi Bonsu revealed that, Victor instructed Akua to fetch cassava from a nearby farm for food. Unbeknownst to her, it would be her final task.
He added that, Victor allegedly ambushed Akua in the farm and brutally severed her head with a machete.
“My sister had left her husband due to some misunderstandings, but he convinced her to return. Little did we know it was a trap.”
He added that After committing the heinous crime, Victor reportedly called Akua’s mother to inform her of the gruesome act, instructing the family to retrieve the body.
In a shocking turn of events, Victor took his own life by consuming poison.
The police have launched an investigation into the tragic incident.
Residents of Trabuom in an interview said they are reeling in shock, describing Victor as a respected community leader and pastor.
“This is unbelievable, Pastor Victor was always preaching about love and forgiveness. We never suspected he was capable of such evil,”.
