The Ghana Police Service has intensified its search for Fatau Motorway, a suspect linked to violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024.
Fatau Motorway, who was reportedly captured on camera brandishing a weapon during the unrest, remains at large.
In a statement, the Police urged the public to assist in their intelligence-led efforts by providing any information that could lead to his arrest.
To incentivize this cooperation, the Police have announced a reward of GH₵20,000 for credible information that results in the capture of the suspect.
The violent clashes between NPP and NDC supporters heightened tensions in the Mamobi area, raising concerns about security as the 2024 general elections approach.
The Police are encouraging anyone with information to come forward, assuring confidentiality and protection for informants.
This bounty is part of broader efforts to hold those responsible for the violence accountable and to promote a peaceful political environment in the lead-up to the elections.
