GPCC NEC commiserates with Assemblies of God Ghana’s General Superintendent

GPCC

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), led by its President, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, who also serves as the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, recently visited Rev. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, to express condolences on the passing of his mother, Mrs Deborah Wengam.

Apostle Nyamekye conveyed the Council’s heartfelt sympathies and invited First Vice President Bishop Gordon Kisseih to share a message of comfort with the bereaved family.

Bishop Kisseih reminded the family that, for Christians, death is a passage to God’s kingdom and a “gain” in the faith journey.

The NEC delegation then joined the family in prayer, with Apostle Nyamekye and the Council’s Vice Presidents signing the book of condolence on behalf of the GPCC.

A family representative informed the GPCC leadership that Mrs Wengam’s funeral would take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with the specific venue to be announced in due course.

The General Superintendent, Rev Wengam paid glowing tribute to his mother saying “She disciplined me well and prepared me to fulfil God’s mandate”. He further thanked the delegation for their show of unequalled love.
