The Accra West Regional Tourism Authority today celebrated Valentine’s Day in a heartwarming way by sharing love and joy with hospitalized children at the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital in the Awutu Senya East municipality of the central region.
In collaboration with key tourism and hospitality stakeholders, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) distribute locally produced Ghanaian chocolate to young patients, reinforcing the health benefits of cocoa and promoting national pride.
The Regional Director of Ghana tourism Authority in the Accra West Mr. Issac Opirah stated that this initiative aims to spread love and compassion to the less privileged, ensuring they also experience the joy of the season while others celebrate in various event centers.
“National Chocolate Day is not just about promoting Ghana’s cocoa industry; it is a celebration of love, kindness, and community,” he added.
This special Valentine’s Day initiative, themed “Eat Chocolate, Stay Healthy, Grow Ghana,” is in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Ghana Cocoa Board, and hospitality brands including Frandocfill Car Hiring Service, Sky Plus Hotel, Chances Hotel, and Jolinaiko Ecotours.
