The Minister of Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery has condemned the deadly attack on Anyass Ibrahim, #fixthecountry Campaigner at Dagombaline, a suburb of Ejura in the Ashanti Region
He has charged the Inspector General of Police to bring the perpetrators to book, “I am making sure that the police follow up”
Anyass Ibrahim popularly on Facebook as Macho Kaaka was violently attacked by unknown men on Sunday dawn when he was returning home. He sustained various degrees of head injuries and was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital but the critical nature of the injuries compelled the medical stuff to transfer him to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where he was pronounced dead.
The Police in the Ashanti region have already arrested two persons in connection with the crime.
The Interior Minister has described the incident as a criminal act and the government does not support any illegality
He extended government’s condolences to the bereaved family while assuring them that government is not going to shield the criminals.
