A 45-year-old Chainsaw Operator, Mr Kwame Kaya has been shot dead at Numreso in the Amansie Central in the Ashanti Region.
According to an eyewitness, Kwame Darkwah, the deceased was hired by the Community Authorities to cut down trees for their toilet project.
Unknowingly to Kwame Kaya (deceased), the concession in which he was cutting the logs was owned by a Businessman and Some youth who were guarding the forest for the Businessman accosted the deceased; this led to a scuffle between them and the chainsaw operator.
Unfortunately, one of the youth pulled out his gun and shot Kwame Kaya on the upper shoulder and died instantly.
The body has been conveyed by the District police command whiles the investigation is ongoing.
