Ten(10) people have been confirmed dead and many in critical condition when two buses made wrong overtaken and collided at Gomoa Mampong on the Kasoa – Winneba Highway in the Central Region.
Information gathered indicated that a lorry branded with an inscription ‘Boss Bus’ with the Registration GN 4741-10 was coming from Takoradi to Accra whiles another lorry branded with an inscription ‘Diploma Bus’ with the Registration Gs 6262-19 was also coming from Accra to Ivory Coast
One of the passengers who survived in the Boss Bus, Emmanuel Quaicoo in an interview with Mireku Nyampong highlighted that both drivers made wrong overtaken and in the process collided leading to many death at a spot and others in critical condition
Giving the gender breakdown of the dead, Winneba Municipal Fire Commander D01 Henry Asiedu confirmed that 10 people have died which comprises 6 men and four females.
