Ghanaian event organizer Afua Owusu Asantewaa Aduonum and her team concluded their sing-a-thon challenge at Akwaaba Village with an exuberant celebration.

The event on Friday, December 29, featured performances by celebrated musicians Adina, Praye Tiatia, and Akatakyie, who captivated the audience with their hit tracks.

A highlight of the evening was a touching performance by Adina, who sang her popular song “Why.”

This performance was part of the final segment of Asantewaa’s ambitious attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual.

The event not only showcased musical talent but also marked a significant milestone in Asantewaa’s record-breaking journey.

At 33 years old, Asantewaa embarked on her remarkable journey to set a new Guinness World Record, beginning on Sunday, December 24, 2023, and culminating on Friday, December 29, 2023. Over the course of almost five days, she delivered an astounding performance, singing for a total of 126 hours and 52 minutes.

While Asantewaa’s incredible feat positions her as a potential new record holder, surpassing the current record set by Sunil Waghmare, official recognition from Guinness World Records (GWR) is still forthcoming as they conduct the necessary validation process.
