An Accra Circuit Court has granted Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa, bail in the amount of GH 50,000 with three sureties.
That came after her attorneys requested bail orally in court on Monday, October 17, 2022.
In the courtroom presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah, Nana Agradaa entered a not-guilty plea to six counts of defrauding by false pretence and one count of charlatanic advertisement.
Agradaa will stay in detention notwithstanding the bond. This is due to the fact that she has been remanded to appear on October 26, 2022, after being charged with one case of charlatanic advertisement and five counts of defrauding by false pretense at a different Circuit Court.
Mr. Acquah stipulated that the three sureties for the bond must be government employees making at least GH2,000 per month as part of the bail requirements. She must also go to the police station every Wednesday. The lawsuit will now be heard on November 10, 2022.
