The Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Council of Elders in South Africa, Benjamin Quashie, has criticised the government over the controversial ‘Agyapadie’ document.

According to him, despite President Akufo-Addo’s denial, the document sheds light on a state-capture agenda by the President and his cronies.

The politician described it as unpatriotic and an act of greed on the part of President Akufo-Addo and his cronies.

Speaking on Accra FM, Mr Quashie also criticised President Akufo-Addo for attributing the document to his political opponents.

He noted patterns in the Akufo-Addo-led government where certain entities owned by the President’s family and friends are favored.

Expressing concerns about the level of state capture under the current administration, Mr Quashie called for a thorough investigation and reorganization.

He was optimistic that should the flagbearer of NDC, John Mahama win the upcoming general elections, the incumbent government would be held accountable.
