Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has clarified that he did not issue a directive for the killing of Ahmed Suale.
He explained that he instructed his staff not to allow Ahmed Suale’s presence at his business premises because he considered Ahmed to be a “bad boy.”
Kennedy Agyapong mentioned that his workers informed him that Ahmed Suale had come to his premises seeking money for school fees, and he denied knowing him. He then instructed his staff not to allow Ahmed Suale in, as he believed Ahmed might try to set him up.
He emphasized that Ahmed Suale’s own actions led to his death, and he distanced himself from any involvement in the journalist’s killing. He stated, “His own deeds caused his death, not me.”
This statement from Kennedy Agyapong is in response to accusations that his exposure of Ahmed Suale’s identity on national television contributed to Ahmed’s assassination in 2019.
