Prosecution has amended the charges against Daniel Owusu Koranteng, the suspect in the Ahmed Suale killing, to include abetment to commit a crime, to wit murder.
This development was revealed in court on Wednesday, April 2, when the case was called for a hearing.
Koranteng, who has been on remand since his arrest, is accused of publicly sharing images of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale before his death.
He was also allegedly present at the crime scene at the time of the killing in January 2019.
Initially charged with murder when he was first arraigned on March 19, the prosecution has now revised the charges to include abetment to murder as of Wednesday.
Following this update, the court has further remanded him into custody, with the case adjourned to April 17 for further proceedings.
