Al Nassr Terminates Aboubbakar’s Contract To Clear Up Space For Ronaldo

Saudi Pro League giants Al Nassr have sensationally terminated Vincent Aboubakar’s contract following the mega signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al Nassr reportedly released the Cameroon international in order to free up space for their new acquisition, Ronaldo.

The 37-year-old signed a €2000 million deal for the Saudi Pro League top-flight that will see him become the highest paid footballer in history.

The Portuguese superstar and Manchester United mutually agreed to part ways following his controversial interview with Piers Morgan a month ago.

Earlier this week, Ronaldo was given a heroic welcome by Al Nassr and its fans as the five time Ballon d’Or winner was officially unveiled at the Mrsool Park in Riyadh.

Al Nassr had already reached the full capacity for the intake of foreign players before bringing in Ronaldo and needed to clear up space in their squad to enable the Portuguese’ eligibility.

Saudi Arabian news outlet Al Riyadh, reported that the club have decided to part ways with Cameroon international striker Aboubakar in order to register Ronaldo.

Meanwhile Ronaldo is yet to make his much anticipated debut as he is currently serving a two match ban the English FA served him during his time with the Red Devils.

Aboubakar — who shone for the Indomitable Lions in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar has netted 13 times and has six assists to his credit during his time with Al Nassr.
