Ghana’s amputee football team has made it to the semi-finals of the African Football Championship in Egypt.
The team, known as the Black Challenge, won their game against Kenya with a score of 2-1 on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Ghana scored the first goal through Hamza Mohammed in the 14th minute. Later on, Brown Williams doubled the lead for the Black Challenge in the 31st minute.
Kenya reduced the deficit in the second half.
Ghana’s Hamza Mohammed was adjudged the best player of the match.
The Black Challenge began the Amputee AFCON with wins over Gambia and Algeria.
The team has scored 11 goals and conceded 2 goals in three matches at the tournament.
The Black Challenge will now play against Tanzania on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the semi-finals of the Amputee AFCON.
