Anas returns with another exposé titled ‘Galamsey Economy’

On November 14, 2022, at the International Conference Centre in Accra, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger Eye PI will premiere another sensational undercover investigation.

The documentary “Galamsey Economy” reveals instances of suspected bribery and corruption.

Prior to this, investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his TigerEye PI team released a documentary on Ghana’s mining sector in 2019.

Among the many examples of systemic corruption that Anas and his colleagues were able to shed light on was the government’s efforts to crack down on illicit mining.

Among other things, Anas exposed and publicly embarrassed many high-profile individuals who were supposed to crack down on unlawful mining but instead sold their integrity for money.

Mr. Charles Cromwell Bissue, a member of the Presidential Staff and the Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), was named in the 2019 expose by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Mr. Bissue is seen in the video collecting cash from a mining business, presumably to speed up the approval procedure.

In the clip, he can be seen telling his staff to move quickly on the company’s paperwork.
