Anthony Joshua could not stand the might of Oleksandr Usyk when he defeated him for the second time when their rematch was staged last night in Saudi Arabia.
Although he gave a good account of himself, the Ukrainian was better and pummeled from all angles just like he did to him last year September.
The consecutive defeat sunk deep into Joshua’s head and he lost it when he launched a bizarre tirade by seizing the microphone and delving into tantrums as well as stealing the heavyweight champion’s moment.
He then stormed out of the ring and was met with boos from the Saudi crowd, before heading back into the ring to continue to shock everyone by grabbing the Ring Magazine belt and the WBA (Super) and throwing them out of the ring with disgust.
When he finally maintained his composure, he acknowledged his opponent’s incredible prowess in his speech so it’s hard to tell what provoked him to misbehave in the first place.
But there was more drama prior to that. Before grabbing the mic, he confronted Usyk, saying: “I don’t care about strong, I have that skill, [inaudible] you’re not strong, how did you beat me? How? I’ve got skill, I had character and determination.”
