It was a walk in the park for Arsenal at the Gtech Community Stadium following their 3-0 thumping of Brentford in their own backyard.
William Saliba put the Gunners in front before Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead midway through the second half while Fabio Vieira added the third to bring Arsenal back on top of the Premier League log.
Mikel Arteta and his men held the game by the scruff of the neck from the beginning before Saliba’s opener in the 17th minute.
The Frenchman rose high and headed home from a corner kick off the back post and nestled into the net. Brentford keeper David Raya scooped the ball out but it was adjudged to have crossed the line.
Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead with another powerful header on the 28th minute while Vieira added the third four minutes after the restart to round off an emphatic win for Arsenal.
The win has returned Arsenal to the top of the league with 18 points.
