King Faisal FC bankroller, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah has vowed that, both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak ain’t bigger than any of the clubs in the country hence the sponsorship money should be shared equally.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have sealed a multi-year lofty headline sponsorship deal with the Africa’s leading online betting company.
The Ghana Premier League which has been sponsorless since 2018, has received a bumper headline sponsorship from Betpawa ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The details of the multi-year deal worth $1 million per year agreed between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Betpawa will be out soon.
The current administration of the Ghana Football Association headed by Kurt E.S Okraku, has been in search for a headline sponsor for the country’s top-tier league in the last three years.
Speaking to Angel FM in Accra, the veteran football administrator has called for the money derived from the sponsorship deal to be shared equally amongst the 18 clubs.
“Hearts of Oak and Kotoko are not bigger than any other club in Ghana, the sponsorship money should be shared equal among us.”
