Esther Awuah popularly known as Maadwoa has committed suicide after she was being advised by her parents to focus on her life rather than following the guy whom she says she loves at Assin Akropong which is located in the Assin Fosu Municipal.
Maadwoa as called by a lot of people just completed her Junior High School education but while in school, she was in love with a guy who is known to be a Mobile DJ.
Her parents knew about this and advised her to focus on improving her life and focus on her future rather than following a guy who is also living with her parents.
Her parents made efforts to help her in learning hairdressing. She was then called by her father to come visit, she went and was told to come back home for some necessary documents but decided not to go back to her dad’s place again.
She then made her way through to her lover’s house ,the guy’s parent then called Maadwoa’s parent to warn them to come for their child.
Maadwoa came back home after her parent’s warnings , she then took a weedicide ,run away to hide and drank it, after that she came back to tell her mom she had drank the weedicide, she was then rushed to the St Francis hospital at Assin Fosu but was confirmed dead while in the process of being treated.
