Association Of the Physically Challenged in Awutu Senya East Calls on The New MCE

The Association of the Physically Challenged in Awutu Senya East Municipality, led by its Chairman, Mr George Yaw Kyei has officially called on the New Municipal Chief (MCE) Hon. Anita Love Obo Amissah at the Assembly on Tuesday 16th November, 2021.

According to the Chairman, the visit was to formerly congratulate the MCE on her assumption of office and to discuss some matters of importance concerning their Association.

The MCE expressed her appreciation to the Association and assured them that the NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo is poised to addressing some concerns of the Physically Challenged in Ghana.

She urged the Association to see it as a need to pray hard for President Akufo-Addo and the NPP government, adding that it is only the NPP government that has the needs of the disabled in mind at all times.

Hon Anita Love Obo Amissah said that the Assembly, and for that matter, the government desires to alleviate the challenges of the physically challenged and make life bearable for them.

Hon. Anita Love Obo Amissah added that government in the coming days, through the Assembly, will roll out various policies that will see the physically challenged people in the Municipality enrolled into various professional programmes, to equip the to be self-reliant and also to provide for their families.

The leader of the group thanked the honorable MCE on behalf of the Association, and pledged the association’s commitment to the government and the Assembly to succeed.

He added that should the government call on them, they would be ever ready to respond to the call of the government in order for their needs to be addressed.
