It has come to light that the moment actor Olanrewaju James better known as Baba Ijesha was being whisked away to begin his 16-year jail term, he collapsed on the rails of the court.
The indigenous actor was convicted of sexually assaulting the daughter of his Nollywood colleague Princess by a Lagos court on Thursday, July 14.
In a judgement delivered by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court, the actor was sentenced to 16 years in prison which he will serve concurrently for 5 years in prison.
He was convicted of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo in a two-hour judgement
Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of count one and count six, which were: sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration.
