Credible reports available indicate Actor, Politician and Philanthropist John Dumelo is set to re-contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat on the ticket of the opposition and will come against his best friend Fred Nuamah.
Dumelo was narrowly defeated by now incumbent Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan in 2020 and is said to have a direct advantage over Fred Nuamah.
Lydia Seyram Alhassan polled 39,851 out of 77,604 total votes as against John Dumelo of the NDC who polled 37,778 while an independent candidate got 108 votes.
Dumelo has earlier been associated with the newly created SALL Constituency but reports say he will contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
Another popular actor and movie producer who is a close friend of John Dumelo, Fred Nuamah also announced his intention to contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency and may come against John Dumelo.
Fred Nuamah, who is also a film director is best known for his role in the movie ‘The Game’.
