Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has talked about the importance he places on representing Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team.
He said this in an interview with the Black Stars media channel as Ghana prepares to compete at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.
Ghana plays Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14 at 20:00 GMT with Kudus’ availability up in the air after the West Ham midfielder missed a huge chunk of the Black Stars pre AFCON training camp.
His absence due to what Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton labeled a “slight injury” led to speculations over his availability for the tournament and questions over his commitment to the national team.
In the interview however, Kudus reiterated his commitment to the national course saying, “As a professional player, you’re gonna change a lot of clubs, it’s very likely you’re gonna play for a lot of teams but your country and your national team always stay the same.”
