Believe Akufo Addo if he says he will turn the economy around – NPP’s Alfred Thompson to Ghanaians

Alfred Thompson, a member of the NPP’s national media team, claimed Akufo-Addo has tackled Ghana’s economic difficulties.

To that end, he continued, the President’s promise to tackle the problems should be accepted.

He stated he trusts in the president’s abilities based on his prior records. Mr. Thompson responded, “I trust him if he says we’ll get out of the doldrums.”

President Akufo Addo said the administration hasn’t given up despite obstacles. He stated the administration would help Ghanaians.

“The Akufo-Addo administration hasn’t given up” We are resolved to offer relief to the Ghanaian people and restore the economy to the high growth rates of the three years before the COVID epidemic in 2020,” he declared at the beginning of the 12th Biennial and 50th Golden Conference of the Methodist Church of Ghana.

Since taking office, the President has worked to enhance Ghanaians’ living conditions.

“Every policy effort, whether it’s Free Senior High School, Planting for Food and Jobs, or One-District-One-Factory, has the Ghanaian’s well-being in mind,” he stated.

Before the COVID, Ghana had one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, according to President Akufo-Addo.

The epidemic, intensified by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, has caused spiralling freight charges, soaring gasoline expenses, high food prices, dramatic inflationary spikes, and widespread company bankruptcies. I’m conscious that these are challenging circumstances for Ghana, as they are for most people in the globe, he stated.

The President characterized approaching the International Monetary Fund as a crucial step in reviving the economy.

The cedi’s intolerable devaluation will be addressed in other ways. This season’s emerging, the successful crop will help us reach this goal, along with other policies,” he said.

President Akufo-Addo assured that the government will continue expanding and modernizing our educational system to create a 21st-century workforce, reforming our healthcare system to ensure a resilient, robust healthcare delivery system, and implementing the industrial transformation agenda that holds the key to our future prosperity.

Enhancing agricultural productivity to ensure food security, executing the comprehensive infrastructural development plan for roads and railways, completing the digitisation process to reap the full benefits of the 4th industrial revolution, and protecting and greening our environment to combat climate change will also be pursued vigorously.
