The captain of the Ghana Black Princesses Evelyn Badu has sustained ankle injury on the eve of their U-20 World Cup opener against the United States of America.
She was seen wearing ankle boot on her right foot and holding crutches.
Team doctors are yet to determine the severity of the injury but fears are that she could be ruled out of the rest of the tournament.
The current CAF Interclub and CAF Young Player of the year’s injury will certainly be a big blow to Ghana.
Ghana are in Group D alongside the United States, the Netherlands and Japan.
Kickoff time is 5PM.
