Black Stars’ performance recently has been frustrating – Asamoah Gyan

According to Asamoah Gyan, the former captain of the Black Stars, it’s been hard to watch the squad play lately since they haven’t been generating many scoring opportunities.

Even after their 3-0 victory against Madagascar in an AFCON qualifier in 2024, the Black Stars have had a difficult time winning games.

Ghana lost 3-0 to Brazil in the September international break before beating Nicaragua 1-0. Gyan, 36, feels it’s frustrating to see the Black Stars play.

The technical staff, in his opinion, has to address the team’s lack of mobility and opportunities.

“In the last six games played, Black Stars have struggled to create any meaningful chances and it is frustrating,” he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“It is better to create chances and fail to convert them but in our case, we are not creating at all.

“The players must be bold and take the risk because this is the World Cup and you must be ready for the risk,” he added.

Ghana’s last tune-up before heading to Qatar for the World Cup, which runs from November 20th to December 18th, will be against Switzerland.
