A young Nigerian boy whose modus operandi is to harvest human parts in cemeteries has been arrested.
The 16-year old boy, Lawal Abubakar who reportedly hails from Niger State was busted for allegedly attempting to exhume a corpse from a grave at Chanchaga cemetery in Minna area of the state.
DSP Wasiu Abiodun updated the public with this information by saying the suspect was arrested by police operatives attached to Chanchaga Division on Saturday, May 21.
During interrogation, it came to light that the young man conspired with one Salisu, presently at large, to get body parts and cloth of a corpse from the cemetery at the rate of N5,000.
Abiodun disclosed that the suspect equally engaged in a similar act last year at Bosso cemetery where he exhumed and remove four fingers of a corpse. “He confessed further that he was sent by one Sadiq to get the fingers and was paid N3000,” he said.
