According to BBC embattled Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has been found not guilty of six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against four young women.
The Manchester City left-back and his friend Mr Matturie, were accused of raping women at the player’s home in Prestbury, Cheshire, and at a Manchester flat.
Mendy’s friend Louis Saha Matturie, 41, was also found not guilty of three counts of rape against two teenagers.
A retrial will take place as the jury failed to reach verdicts on one count of rape and one count of attempted rape and also failed to reach a verdict on three counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault against Mr Matturie.
The Frenchman’s fate is still hanging in a balance as Jurors at Chester Crown Court could not reach verdicts on six other counts by five other women.
The 28-year-old is partially acquitted but his image has suffered an irreparable damage and his life will never be the same.
